Tyre Management System
OTR have been continually developing their Tyre Management system, a bespoke earthmover tyre management program that prolongs the life of a tyre through preventative maintenance.
Developed with earthmover tyre users for earthmover tyre users, it not only tracks, monitors and manages the condition of tyres, but encompasses tyre supply, site surveys and detailed recommendations of operational practices to aid budgeting and give visible asset management.
Tyre data is correlated by OTR's Tyre Survey Engineers through on-site visits and recorded into hand held computers before being downloaded directly to bespoke software for interpretation and analysis.
The centralised database software then collates the information, which includes tyre manufacturer, tyre type, tread pattern plus wear and repair details, for each user, which ensures customers are always aware of their tyre status.
The service is also available online and differentiates the company's tyre management programme from any other as it enables earthmover tyre users to retrieve secure, up to date fleet information at any time, anywhere, through the OTR website.
The result - customers are able to make informed decisions on present and future tyre purchases, which means effective cost control and budgeting. Good tyre management is proven to be good business.
