Introduced earlier last year to meet the growing demand from ADT users, the OTR 750/65 R25 ReMould is proving its worth with amazing 'hours per mm' and 'cost per hour' figures being returned. OTR Comercial Director Graeme Manning said "As the ADT market has expanded so, obviously, has the demand for their tyres, so we invested in a new ReMould plant at the factory to satisfy the demand. OTR 750/65 R25 RTDN's look like new tyres and, as these latest figures show, have great performance"
The versatile RTDN tread pattern has a large contact area that gives good traction and mobility in difficult working conditions and the wide base gives excellent stability. The customers own casings are rigorously tested before preparation and remanufacture using synthetic compounds to improve performance. The result is a remould tyre with the appearance and integrity of new tyres.
From a recent test sample of tyres that have done more than 500hrs, a comparison was made of premier brands and OTR ReMoulds - hours per mm on 'end of life' tyres showed that OTR 750/65R25R7 to have a wear rate comparable to new tyres and the projected figures for the OTR 750/65R25 look similar.
However, it is the 'costs per hour' that the OTR retreads show their worth, the R7 showing a positive saving, whilst the projected RTDN returns almost halve the comparable premier brand running costs. The new generation of low profile 750/65 R25 RTDN ReMould tyres from OTR are proving that quality retreads and good tyre management are very cost effective.
