OTR Tyres Ltd, the country's leading earthmover tyre specialist, have relocated their South Wales Service Centre from Bridgend to Chepstow.
"Reducing downtime for our customers is a key objective for OTR and ensuring that our service vehicles can respond quickly is paramount. We felt the move to Chepstow would allow us to be more centrally located for our current customer base in South Wales and the West," said OTR's UK Operations Director Darren Flint.
The fleet of specialist fitting trucks and team of tyre service engineers will also be an integral part of the move to the Chepstow hub, which will now also control 3 Service Operating Sites - Okehampton and Salisbury in the South West and Bridgend in South Wales.
In addition to the new Chepstow facility OTR have 5 other Regional Service Hubs at Alfreton, Birtley, Falkirk and Standon - and 12 Service Operating Sites throughout the UK, serviced by more than 40 specialist fitting trucks.
Concluding, Darren Flint said: "The development of our Regional Service Hubs and more localised 'Operating Sites' will continue as the marketplace changes. Our objective is simple - to be proactive and respond to a situation before it develops into a problem for our customers".
The development of the Regional Hubs and Operating Sites has come about as a direct result of the confidence customers are showing in OTR's earthmover tyre management system - TotalTyreLogic - a 'cradle to grave' service from tyre supply through monitoring, repair, retread and replacement.
