OTR are currently supplying to and servicing mines throughout much of Africa. OTR's presence in Botswana began in 2007, supplying tyres and giving technical assistance to the Orapa and Letlhakane diamond mines.
Orapa is the world's largest diamond mine, and is owned by Debswana - a partnership between the De Beers diamond company and the Botswana government. The pit at Orapa is 2.2km long and 55m deep, and the Orapa township now houses over 15,000 people.

Orapa operates seven days per week, and produces 20 million tons per year of ore and an additional 40 million tons per year of waste rock. In 2003, the Orapa mine produced 16.3 million carats (3260 kg) of diamond.
The Letlhakane mine is positioned 50km (30 Miles)
away from Orapa, with full scale mining operations
ongoing for nearly 35 years. The ore produced at
Letlhakane is transported to Orapa to be processed.
Orapa was expanded in 1999, doubling its capacity,
and Letlhakane has enough reserves for over a
decade of mining at current levels.
